short film Adapted from the poem by Cooper L. / with Phoebe Liang & rachel Wotton
A magpie witnesses the effects of human encroachment upon its natural homeland and yearns for a better future. Somewhere, in a hazy dream filled with specks of gold, there exists a beautiful forest untouched by construction. A seed sprouts tentatively from its broken longing. Perhaps, one day, this seed will grow into a home.

Experience EOI / with phoebe liang, rachel WOTTON & Jasper LyAs humans, we find fascination in observing life different to ours. We point at fish in the aquarium and marvel at their gills, their fins, the way they swim. We build mimicries of their natural homes so we can watch them live their little lives.

Yet, what happens if they could take photos of us, or point and stare at us in little glass boxes?

‘Humanarium’ invites visitors to explore animated spaces where they shift from being the voyeur to the observed. Blending physical art with animation, this interactive experience reimagines our relationship with the world around us via a playful display of human behaviour from a fishy perspective.
